HOTEL CONTROLLER

Main purpose:
As Hotel Controller you will be part of the management team and you will be one of our Excellence Ambassadors. You will be responsible for the finance team and you will ensure that all financial controls are in place within the timescale set by the company.
Reports to: Hotel De la Ville General Manager and Area Director of Finance, North Italy.

Main duties & responsibilities:
• Manage all finance and accounting operations: month-end process, balance sheet reconciliation, controlling the company bank account, budgeting, forecasting, daily sales check.
• Supervise the warehouse/purchasing attendant.
• Daily cooperation as business partner with GM and Hotel Manager to maximise the financial efficiency of the property.
• Daily cooperation with the Head of Departments to monitor the performances and plan actions based on latest forecasting 
• Responsible for selection and development of team members, monitoring performance and providing feedback and setting relevant development objectives to each one of them;
• Responsible for leading the department in order to reach financial, quality and people objectives.
• Maintain relations with hotel’s internal and external auditors and ensure that action is taken according to auditors’ recommendations.

Other requirements:
• Excellent command of Italian and English, both spoken and written.
• Preferable experience as Hotel Controller in 4-5 stars hotels;
• Preferable experience in audit companies as Manager or Senior Manager
• Preferable degree in business administration or hotel management
• Preferable evidence of self-development through specialized courses, conferences/workshops
• Knowledge of Accounting Management software such as Navision, knowledge of payroll software is a plus.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office package (Excel).
